The house is a planet-friendly work of art, constructed from 50 percent recycled materials, Talavera tiles, china and unusual mosaic features from Dolores Hidalgo and other parts of the country. 

The expansive courtyard is filled with color from the fruit tress and lavender plants, making it the perfect place to entertain and even host house concerts seating up to 80 people. And visible from almost any angle are the many artisanal touches including a stunning mosaic serpent.

The main house features an open floor plan with a fireplace, a music room and a large fully equipped kitchen complete with wine cellar and a full bathroom. The master bedroom plus a guest bedroom are both upstairs and the rooftop terrace offers mind-blowing views of San Miguel as well as the mountains to either side of the city. And of course, there is an elevator to make access even easier.

The luxurious separate casita has a living room with fireplace, dining room, full kitchen and an oversized bedroom with two queen beds and an en-suite bathroom.

And “planet-friendly’ aspects are represented by the large rainwater cistern for water captured from the top roof, the smaller underground cistern for captured grey water, two Bosch solar hot-water systems, 3 tankless water heaters and 10 solar panels resulting in no electric bills. Heating/cooling is provided by three remote-controlled gas fireplaces that are vented, and 4 mini-splits. The house feels comfortable during all of San Miguel’s seasons. Included with the home is all the furniture in the casita, all kitchen equipment including the full outdoor BBQ kitchen and some of the furniture in the main house.
