This September, San Miguel will be one of the key cities in Mexico to celebrate 200 years of independence. Festivities kicked off this summer with the opening of the Bicentennial Plaza, near the city of Guanajuato and a colorful laser light show each weekend evening on San Miguel’s landmark Parroquia church located in the center of town.
